    My Other Reviews·Comcast
    ·Verizon Online DSL
I had Verizon Fios internet for 2 + 1/2 years ending in October of 2007 when I switched back to Comcast for cost. Durring my time with the internet portion of Fios I never had the internet go down. However the D-Link router they gave me had to be replaced by Verizon 4 times, the DMZ never worked and I couldn't use many applications like mIRC and certain other things thanks to the router blocking them. Fios TV I liked before I saw the bill. The bill caused me to leave them after 2 or 3 months of having their TV service. They tell you one price, when you get the bill its a lot more than they say.

    The Router...

Well hey, the router they give you is not junk. The firmware on that router is junk until they can design it better. At least they gave you a more than capable router for free though. You can't find many routers as strong as the ActionTec unless you set up a PC as a router or you get a very expensive Cisco or something. Again, it's not the ActionTec itself, it's the firmware on it that makes it horrible.

Yes I didn't mention, once I got the Multi-DVR they gave me the ActionTec and that was "love at first sight" lol. I had no problems really with the ActionTec, ran great, and has alot of advanced features I love. I actually use it for my Comcast now.

    ungrateful

typical...you should be thankful you got a free router, but i guess people will complain about ANYTHING.
