"Fast connection; lots of upgrade potential. So far, no outages and consistent performance"
"Still high cost per Mbps relative to any other non-third world country."
"If you can get it, you probably should."

I went with the 15/2 plan, which actually is providing me consistently 15/5. It has been very reliable, and the installation went smoothly for me.
There is one caveat relative to my particular experience: I am a network engineer, so I had my house wired, dedicated electrical outlet, wall-board for mounting, and a clean demarcation for connection of the ONT to my network to make it smooth. I do not use the Verizon router except as a bridge within my LAN to connect the settop boxes via their MOCA interfaces, as I was able to convince tech support to activate my Ethernet port and allow me to use my own router despite the fact I have the FiOS TV service too. Their standard installation in this situation requires the ActionTec router as the primary gateway for your home network to support on-demand video and other interactive TV features.
