I was with Adelphia (now Time Warner) before changing to FiOS. I started out with 5/2, which they upgraded to 10/2 for free. I recently switched to a package deal (TV, internet, phone) with 20/5 for about the same price.
The door-to-door salesman didn't know the answers to my questions, but he acted like he did and just made stuff up to try and sell me on FiOS. I had already known the answers and had decided to switch to FiOS before he showed up though.
Other than the lying salesman, I have been very happy with FiOS as my ISP. Downtimes have been brief and rare.
