Overall: Poor
Verizon's website indicated an offer to get 15/5 mbps down/up at $49.99/month. When ordering it showed 10/2mbps down/up, so talked to a Verizon CS rep who stated this was just a typo in the ordering system and assured me I'd get 15/5 at $49.99 even though the order system showed 10/2. But upon install, I am only getting 10/2. Called in to Verizon, they said I will only get 10/2 even though the CS rep specifically stated I'd get 15/5 before I ordered. No recourse, even if I cancel to switch out I'll get hit with contract termination fees.

The 10/2 was just raised to 15/5 on 6/22/09.
There is no ETF in the first 15 or 30 days, not sure which it is now.

| response 1) service ordered 6/29, 1 week after tier increases announced 2) glad to hear the etf is not applicable. this indicates the rep I spoke with later was also misinformed 3) anti-verizon? I didn't know there was even such a thing, who cares that much? 4) no phone line is present. there is no discrepancy, check your data.
Hopefully the crazy responses are verizon PR reps or stockholders, otherwise it's a bit sad...

4) no phone line is present. there is no discrepancy, check your data. OK, I got it. $45 with phone, $50 without if you ordered online. $55 without phone ordered through CSR.
If you ordered 6/29, when were you installed? If you ordered pre-6/22 and you were installed 6/29, I can see how 10/2 would happen. Also, I think re-sellers have access to old plans.
After 6/22, there is no Verizon order option for 10/2 tier. Existing orders and installations will stay on the 10/2 plan until they are changed. You should be able to make that happen by calling billing, particularly if you insist that the 10/2 should be 15/5.
If you are within 30 days after your installation, there is no ETF. You have the advantage. Try again.
