I switched from Optonline to Fios not so much because of the broadband service but because the combined FIOS service (TV, phone, Broadband) is cheaper and so far faster than the three services I had Optonline, Verizon phone, and Directv.
I've only been on with Fios a month but so far I'm really happy with the service and the value.
