Updated speedtest in the morning:
Update: Put back the Verizon router rev G. So far so good.
Update: Upgraded to the triple play package with 150/35 (provision at 150/65, get 153/58), verizon ultimate with all movie channels and a home phone. Received 7232 DVR and a standard box for free as long as i maintain a triple play package. DVR works perfectly. Paying 139.99 (without tax) didn't receive the bill yet. So far so good.
Ordered FIOS double play (35/35) with home phone on 10/2/2011 and installed on 10/22/2011. The tech was very helpful and knowledgeable. He put in the ONT into my garage and hook it up thru the ethernet port into my network. The tech said i was the first installation in my 5-6 block and was the first connection to the hub. The tech had to get another tech to come over and wire the pole to install a new mini box. I removed the verizon actiontech router and hook it up into my Asus RT-16 router with tomato firmware. This works perfectly. I receive my full 35 download speed however my upload is around 31-32. Also if i use up all the bandwidth the other PC starts to crawl when going on the internet, with Road Runner they might have some QOS setup on their connections since i am still able to access the internet when the bandwidth is all pulled up. I love the online tool management for the digital phone, can get voicemail and handle the administration of the digital phone. Fios is a little expensive 79.99 for first year, 89.99 for second year and 3+ is 99.99. Haven't got the bill yet, so don't know if there is any additional taxes and fees add up. Previously have Road Runner Cable Turbo for 29.99 for a year for 9+ year.
Comments:
| | odd For $5 more a month ( online order ) you couldve gotten the triple play with a free-for-life DVR. Even if you dont watch TV, that wouldve been a better deal. LOL. | |

I think you need to be careful if you add the free for life DVR it goes up by 10 and i have the 35/35 internet package so it goes up another 10. After you add in all the taxes since i live in NY it will probably be very high. Currently i have dish network which is 32.99 with no taxes and fees. The price of Fios is also only good for a year.

| Re: odd No, this is why I said ONLINE order, its $85 opposed to the $80 double you signed up for. Might be too late for you now. Do you think you actually need the 35/35? The 15/5 package Im referring to would normally get you 20/6. Verizon over-provisions their speeds. More than adequate for 99% of the population.
You wouldve been better off with the triple, especially if youre a yankee/met fan living in NYC Dish doesnt have the YES channel OR SNY.
ALSO, if you have a 2nd TV, they are also giving away a free standard rental. So DVR, SD box, no monthly fee's.
Pretty sure this deal is still available. You should call and make a deal ! Nothing beats Verizon's TV service.

| | NO QoS My 35/35 is actually 43/37. Verizon doesn't use QoS or throttling and I've never heard of your problem before. It's a good idea to disable any upstream QoS on your router and/or computers. -- 35/35 Fios, Triple Play Extreme. | |

| | | | Re: lastest speed test Awesome. I believe your package is 150/65 btw. Nothing to cry over though, your upload is faster than download speeds of 99% cable subscribers. | |
