While overall happy in the quality of service, both in speed and reliability, it can be frustrating because speed tests will show excellent connectivity, however when doing something as simple as streaming from YouTube traffic continuously stalls (no matter the device or operating system).

For instance, as I write this google-gw.customer.alter.net (which is owned by Verizon) is showing a 57.3% packet loss (with 6271 packets tried for over an hour).

Intense frustration

If you peruse the lengthly posts in the vzfiber forum which address this subject you will find that the problem is not with VZ but with YouTube not purchasing enough bandwidth to support FiOS's users

Yeah, that is a youtube problem. I've seen multiple complaints about it from users on various ISP's. This is simply a case of Youtube sucking.
