When we first signed up for FiOS Internet service back in 2003, they were phenomenal with the technology (FTTH, a novelty at the time when coax and ADSL were pretty much what were available in our neighbourhood), and the customer service. We'd upgraded from ADSL. First 5 years were wonderful in terms of quality of service and value for money. Then, their 'shareholders are the king' mentality got the better of them, and they've gone crazy with price increases, constant nagging for upgrading to double/triple play services, and absolutely stone-deaf customer service department. In a span of less than a decade, our price for pretty much basic 15/5 Mbps service has gone up %70, roughly translating to 5.45%/yr price increases. They think it is justified as they have the best customer satisfaction. Well, I have news for you guys, I've had enough with your arrogant tone. I've switched to cable. member for 9.1 years, driveby review (so far) updated 9.1 years ago

2003 LOLHate to break the news, but there was no FIOS in 2003, anywhere
The first customers were Keller TX, all 9000 of them in 2005.
NYC didn't sign a require Franchise Agreement until late 2006 and the first customers follow about a year later in NYC

Re: 2003 LOLI thought Keller was 2004? Maybe I'm wrong on that though. I know it was available for me on LI in September of 06.
But yeah, 03 is some world class BS lol.

Re: 2003 LOLYou guys were still on ADSL. FiOS didn't roll around until years later.
