Service is supposed to be 2M down/1M up. It costs $64.95 a month. Install was $149.95. A site survey was completed before install.
Tried for about 2 weeks to get a hold of them. When I finally did, they scheduled me for a site survey, which took place in a week, despite the fact that they told me it would be 2 weeks. Site survey was excellent. It seem that I am less than a mile from the closest tower. Scheduled install for the next Friday. Installer was running late, but no big deal. He looked around and we discussed antenna placement. He placed antenna and ran the cable to the house. Once it was hooked up, we had good signal and he finalized the install by putting cable clamps and sealer in the proper places. He finished up around 4:30 PM. All was good until about 9 PM. Speeds started slowing down until they eventually stopped. Service was out until Monday AM. Called them and they said that they had a server outage. We've had the service for about a week now, and it been usable less than half that time. They are consistently having outages that last until they come in in the AM. When we are connected, the speeds are good, but the reliability leaves some to be desired. The are a new company and only have been doing installs since January. The currently only have 7 employees, 2 of those being installers. They have plans to cover a decent area, but unless they can do something about their reliability, they certainly are not going to be a good choice. We are going to give them a couple of months to get their stuff together. While they are having problems, we are keeping the ISDN line. Because we can't keep the ISDN and the current level of service for long, we will probably have our service lower to a lower level which is 400k down/200k up for $29.95. They are using the Motorola Canopy system. Dynamic IP addressing. They seem to have limited technology experience, as the only guy that can help me with router settings is on vacation. Very little online technology help.
After continuing problems, they have come out and raised my antennea 5 feet. This has vastly improved the quality of our connection. We hardly ever suffer an outage, except when they have server problems. It seems that they are running DHCP, a customer database and DNS on the same machine. When that machine goes down or locks up, you simply cannot recover a connection. As long as you're connected and you stay that way you're fine. I hhave had very good luck with many different games such as BF2, WoW and others. Occaissionally, I get dropped from the server for no reason, but a reboot of the equipment seems to remedy this most of the time.
