I have had Armstrong zoom for 2 years now. Moved into my house and ordered it about a month later. Started out with a basic promotion of internet 100 for 12.99 for 6 months. At first it was 128 up/down and then changed to 256 up/down. Worked well for basic internet and email but once I went to VOIP, no choice to spend an extra $12 a month to go to 5000 down / 512 up and definately worth the extra $12.
For 2 years I can only think of one outtage, and that was for a few hours. Other than that it has been a very reliable good service. I live in an area where Verizon doesn't feel to offer DSL, so it is a cable modem or cable modem. Armstrong technical service is very good, only one call needed when I first got the system and found out that I accidentally bumped the suspend button on the modem (dumb placement).
Ping times are in the low 20ms range. I use Viatalk for my VOIP and never have any problems to the Chicago server. Works great.
I would highly recommend Armstrong. I pay 39.99 a month because I have their Basic service and Digital / HD service.
