I recently moved further away from the city of Pittsburgh, to one of the northern rural areas. The only options available at the new house are Armstrong Cable or various DSL providers.

I opted for Armstrong's Zoominternet 500 package, which gets us 8M/512K service. II also went with their HD TV package and Digital Voice phone package. The entire combo, including an HD DVR, HD STB, and Standard STB is 135/month.

After years of Comcast and then FiOS, the speed is quite a slowdown, but the best option available.

Also, the HD content is consistent with what Comcast offered in our area, but no where near the offering of FiOS. Of course, for $50/month less, it is still an attractive package.

Ordering was simple. I called a week before we moved, and they installed the day after we moved in. Installation was painless - took less than an hour to do HSI, phone, and three television hook-ups. The cable modem/eMTA is an Arris model similar to the one that I had a few years ago with Comcast.
