·Hawaiian Telcom
Hawaiian Telephone is the current provider, when I first got DSL 13 years ago the service was provided by Verizon as a pure data connection with my ISP being Flex.com AKA Shaka.com which was a great value at that time for monthly fees of 34.00 dollars for the data connection and 25.00 dollars for the ISP. Flex never provided technical support and never will it is a NO frills ISP which is great for a experienced user. The data line was 3MB down and 768K up for the above mentioned costs. The modem was a Westell that was terrible so I purchased a Zoom 6+ that lasted 6 years had DSL 2+ good hardware in my opinion. I again have a Westell very compact adequate modem using a new NG300 wireless. I have had no bad experiences other than having to move to Hawaiian Telcom completely to get the new 11 MB data package, I now pay 23 bucks less for 8M increase in speed for life, wishing to go to DS3 soon when it becomes available here for under a 100 bucks. The Technical Support at Hawaiian Tel is great, they have real people who really do what they say they are going to do-no B.S. at all and what is really good is in 7 years I called them only 3 times.
