As you can see from my first review when Charter was bought out by Cebridge/Suddenlink I almost went to DSL. »Review of Cebridge Connections by Bada Bing But starting Jan 2007 Suddenlink has really turned it around for me. I had to call tech a few times to get my upload from 256 to 512 and since my speeds and latency has been great.

They say 6/768 is coming in the summer of 2007 lets hope so. The cable tv service is great also we have 18 HD channels and my cable has only gone out a few times in the last 5 years.I have every channel with the DVR and HD with high speed internet and it's around $160.00 a months a little high but over all I'm happy.
Update 7/7/07 Well I'm at 6/256 the download increase is great but the decrease upload is not good. But news is the 12/1 package will be here in Aug 2007 this is great. I was happy with Charter but now that Suddenlink has been stable and the speed increase they show a great potential in the long run.
Update 1/18/08 on 12/24/07 my speeds went to 12/768 and the price jumped to $53.99. I can handle that. No slow downs and no outages. I'm very pleased. Looks like no caps as well. I would recommend Suddenlink, at least in my area.

| surprised indeed I'm very surprised you have great service. Every time I try to play any game online, connection drops. I can go to nearby neighbors with Time Warner and play on their connection, not a single lost connection, pings are great, routing is smooth, and download speeds are constant and always on.. unlike Suddenlink here in Belpre. It's a joke!
So, call yourself lucky. | |

| I guess it depends on where you live I live in Charleston, WV and we have the worst service. Just about every other day we have to reset our modem and then restart our router for the internet to work again. Just the other day the internet was down and it was clearly a suddenlink problem but they kept telling me that there are no problems on our end. I talked to our neighbor and his internet was out too, our problem? I wish I had my Version DSL back, it was so much better, but I can't get it where I live now. | |
