I originally was on dialup until Cox came in and installed Broadband then they eventually sold the service to Suddenlink.net.
I originally purchased Cable TV and a 10 meg internet service.
I have beenrunning 10 meg for some time and loved it over Dial Up.
I then got started playing PS3 Games on line and loved it. But over the last couple of years I was having problems with lag playing online games. I eventually upgraded to the 15 meg service in hopes that it would help with the lag while playing games online. But that did not help any and I am thinking about going back to the 10 Meg service. Don't get me wrong because my service online as far as the internet goes works great from me to Suddenlink. But beyond that while playing online games it is not so hot but Suddenlink is working on it.
I recently subscribed to Suddenlink's Phone service because of the low cost. And it works good.
The only problem I have is that the Caller ID on the TV that comes thru the DVR seldom works.
If it quits, I can call Suddenlink and the instantly reset the Modem first then the DVR. I hate to reset the DVR every time because I loose the program guide for a Day or Two until it re_populates. I have in the past called for my self and my mother's phone service to be reset many, many, many times over the last year. So now we do not call much and do with out the TV Caller ID.
I also have several channels that I had when the US went to Digital broadcasting and Suddenlink said it was no problem as long as we had cable but now that have been removed. You are forced to purchase Cable Boxes for every room. I do not like this because I like to use one remote and the functions of the TV. Now My new TV's with no converters on them have double channels. I would just like a service that would let me pic what Channels I wanted.
Overall their service is pretty good and the tech support is pretty good.
