One thing is that it should be 8 Mbps but only get 4 but considering my last internet provider I'm not complaining. The cost comes with a free speed touch 516 v6. Right now it cost 17 dollars for a year then goes to 38 dollars.

 | | TBayTel Sucks I #@*^%! hate TBayTel their customer service is terrible and their transitiion to 3G has been rediculous. | |
| 2 edits | Review of TbayTel DSL Bman1, you can't compare regular residential internet to the service that Knet provides. Knet provides connectivity to under-served, remote communities with very limited resources and very little bandwidth. Many of the remote communities where Knet is providing the internet connection only have small amounts of bandwidth available and do not have the luxury of fibre head ends to feed internet users. Many of the communities are even satellite fed, meaning all the normal latency and bandwidth limits of satellite are felt at the user level as well, not comparable ISP at all.
So while you enjoy your 7meg dsl connection in the city, the remote communities are sharing single and sometimes dual T1's for ALL they're users.
My suggestion would be to remove the "faster than Knet" comment as it really doesn't help anyone who reads these reviews | |
