Value for money:

I have been with skyway for 16 months. We have no other form of broadband
access available. If someone is considering skyway I would advise them to
be aware that they are dealing with a very low budget company. They have
little to no web customer service. Everything must be by phone, ironic I
thought. When you call skyway (You will have problems) you will be placed
on hold, transferred, and be told that you need to leave a message and wait
for a return call even during their normal office hours. Their tech service
over the phone depends on who you finally reach. One man was very helpful
but the three times that I reached the same woman she was rude, short and
insulting. The first time was during install. I told her that I received a
full signal on the handheld meter and nothing on the receiver she said
simply that I did not have a satellite signal and should keep trying, she
also said that I would not be having a problem had I chosen to have the
system installed. I reminded her that their advertisement said it was an
easy install and to her that I had installed both direct tv and dish network
dishes and had no problem tuning them in. She said that she di not know
what to tell me and there was nothing more she could do to help me. several
more days of trying I got enough nerve to call again and reached another
rep, a man named steve. He EXPLAINED that the handheld meter picked up any
satellite, not just skyway, and that Dish network had a satellite less than
1/2 of a degree from theirs in my view of the sky. He said once I got their
signal simply nudge to the west a hair and check the receiver. it worked.
The later when my speed varied, I called again, in short they had
difficulties and was throttling everyone to deal with it.

Their fair use policy. The word fair is really strectched to the limit. In
today's content rich internet enviroment 1.5 gb is nothing. we would reach
it in about 8 to 12 days typically being really conservative. (email and
facebook only, NO video at all). we are down to 37 KB days before reset.
Their speed will vary. We pay for the 756 KBS and most often we are at 500
kbs or so.

I do not believe they are a good choice. You are locked into a contract
with no guarantee. Their limits of use are too low for the modern internet.
They dont have good customer service, they have very poor customer service
in fact.

I do not recommend this company. I dont have a recommendation besides maybe
people should consider the verizon hotspot if it is available in their
area. The limit is a lot higher for the same money and the speed is double
that of what I have now. Example 5 gb at 3 mbs for 59.95.
