I ordered the service on a monday and couldn't fet online right away because it seemed that the tenant above me was tapping into my line and messing things up. That is no fault of wmis's but things didnt get better once that was cleared up.
It seems that since my building does not allow the local cable provider in, EVERYBODY in the other ten buildings (about 300 units since were close to campus) use the same node.
The 1500/256 which I am paying for speedtests at 370/200 but performs at about 200/100. I am going to downgrade to the 24.95 300/200 plan soon since paying more does little good since the local node seems to have too many people bogging things down.
Overall they seems alright, their prices aren't bad until you realize that what are being sold isn't what you will receive. I have checked signal levels run tracerts and the whole nine and the only conclusion that I have come to is oversaturation. 150ms ping...... ugh

If you consider to get an internet connection form WMIS, then you prepare to surf slow.
My contract suppose to be: $49.95 for 3000/400
And It's Sunday night and my bandwidth speed is 100/100.
At the best time during the week I can get 1000/200.
Never had the cable internet connection slower than the one from WMIS. I had Comcast for few years before. I have been paying $40.99 for the same speed. Comcast connection during the day was over 2Mbps download and over 1Mbps at Sunday night.

| so slow, so unreliable omg, this company sucks and their internet is the slowest ever. It is NOT worth living in a nice apartment if you surf slow on a regular basis. Sooooooooooooo slow and extremely unreliable. NOT RECOMMENDED, maybe Edward Rose should kick them off their apartments and find a reputed, national cable company. WMIS INTERNET IS NOT RECOMMENDED to anyone who likes to surf the web. | |
