I have been testing ACANAC free trial since Jan 01 2008. Tested for almost 2 months and decided to sign up towards end of Feb. During the test, had a couple of outages but luckily had my BELL sympatico still active. I occasionally use my internet to work from home or oncall duties. So i needed something stable. The big outages were explained as network upgrades and a power hit at their front street hub. Acanac support is available on dslreports, RFD and their website community. The answers provided have been fairly reasonable to any queries posted. It took 9 days from order to install. Bell tech came out and installed a 2nd line on a spare pair. So that entailed a bit of re-wiring. By the way, I use dry loop (with BELL sympatico and ACANAC). It could have been less that 9 days if sales did send in the correct request to BELL for a dry loop.
Overall, its been over 2 weeks and been pretty stable. I have 5 Mbps conenction off the bat. Hopefully, it will stay that way after 30 days and BELL does not interfere with my connection. If you are looking to sign up with ACANAC, make sure that you call them after placing the order every couple of days to ensure everything is right. If you do not get an email with login info within 48 hrs, that is an indication that something is not right. DO NOT email because its a waste of time.
