    My Other Reviews·Videotron
I signed up with Acanac shortly after cancelling my Videotron account, the process to getting up and running was kind of bad. When I signed up for the service on the internet, it took about a week for them to actually process my order, this is despite the fact that I had to call support twice. Each time I called them they seemed puzzled why my order was not processed and promised they will process it immediately. After my line was activated, I still didn't have an internet connection, the bell tech told me the modem was bad so I ordered a new one and that took a week to arrive, however it also could not sync, I called acanac and they told me some story about the mapping between their servers and bell's was wrong or something, this was fixed after 3 or so days and I finally had an internet connection. In total, it took them about 3 weeks from my order to actually get me online. I don't believe this is an overall indication of acanac's support, I think I just hit a really bad streak. The support techs were nice and understanding however I got the feeling that besides creating a ticket with Bell, they don't have the power to actually fix much of anything that's wrong. Also whatever system they use to keep track of issues seems inadequate, I had to explain my problem many times each time I called because whatever information I gave to one tech didn't seem to be available to another tech. I talked to Paul on their forums about my connection problems and he gave me an extra month free so that's pretty cool.

The connection is stable and my download speeds are good, however my upload speeds bounce between 200kbs to 512kbs, never 800kbs. Acanac is telling me it could be my internal wiring, Bell is saying my modem is bad, i'm not sure what the problem is.

Overall I am very happy with the service now that I have it, I haven't experienced any outages and it has been reliable. Also the 100gigs of online space offered is cool not to mention the awesome free online pc. I would recommend others to sign up with Acanac however their installation procedures need to be better organized and also need to be proactive in fixing something that's wrong instead of waiting for the customer to call them and complain.
