june 2006 i went to the local tks office (which is the ONLY place that u can get internet) I looked at the various options and plans and well everything is overpriced but well i need to have some way to get on dslr and talk to my peeps back home.

As a monopoly TKS which is the local dealer of internet here on the vilseck military base they can charge anything they want and we all have to just deal with it. The 6mb/1mb looked like a fairly good "deal" in relation to what else was on their chart of prices. I paid the activation plus deposit of 100 and signed up for a year of service since it was about 15% cheaper to do that than month to month. After activating and getting my service installed in my room which took about 15-20 days or so. Which sucked but well i need my internet right ? I hook up my modem and start doing my internet thing. I do speedtests pingtests tracert etc and it doesnt look good. So i go to the local office and ask about my speed. They tell me that they forgot to mention that the building that they have limited my speed to 384down/96up because THEY dont have the capacity. I then complained like any person would. I asked for a refund and got a dumb look because well they are the monopoly and well they dont have to do anything to make me happy or content with the service. So i am paying for a service that is giving me 1/20th of the download speed and 1/10th of the upload speed that i paid for not to mention that well i have had a lot of issues with a very flaky internet connection.

Had to buy the dsl modem 60bucks

pay the activation fee plus deposit of 100euro (roughly 140dollars)
