I Ordered SDSL 416x416Kb/s Service from Zyan Communications On (3/16/2000), my account rep. was/is R. Hipolito ext: 290 (rhipolito@zyan.com)
Zyan process (send) my order with NorthPoint 5 days later (3/21/2000), later that day,
3/21/00 11:37AM Phithsamay Linthahane from Zyan send me an e-mail with "CONFIRMATION OF DSL ORDER PLACEMENT"
3/21/00 01:15PM Melissa from Zyan send me an e-mail with my Account Information, IP Addresses/subnet gateway and other config. info. for the Router when ever I get it.
3/22/00 02:42PM I got an E-mail from Zyan Hostmaster "PROBLEM WITH NEW DOMAIN NAME REGISTRATION" It seems that they are having problems setup my Web-Account, and still do, my Web Hosting still do not work. 3/23/00 3:30PM Mia Burgos from Zyan send me an e-mail with "DSL CIRCUIT DELIVERY" Date. and I quote from her e-mail "circuit delivery date of Monday, 3 April 2000 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. On this date you may notice a technician from your local telephone company at your facility," So I reply and let her know that I will take the day-off and be there.
Up to this point every thing seems "good" not grate be good, I was so "happy" that it seems getting my SDSL line was going to take only about 18days. (NOT!!!!!)
3/29/00 10:50AM I got an E-mail from Zyan Hostmaster with more Account Information, this time it was for my E-mail Account, with POP3 Login ID and Password, mail and smtp server info. etc. so later that day I send an e-mail to my new account (jerome@jeromeg.zyan.com) and I got back "Returned mail: Host unknown (Name server: jeromeg.zyan.com: host not found)" so I send several E-mail to: hostmaster@zyan.com, support@zyan.com, Cc: rhipolito@zyan.com, vpeterson@zyan.com, about my e-mail account problem, It seems that there DNS Servers does not have an MX rec. for my 3rd level domain "jeromeg.zyan.com" so I try and send mail from my new Zyan POP3 account and had problems sending out e-mail too.
So far my Web Hosting Account is still not working and now my E-mail Account does not work, NO one from the Tech Support Team had replay and or fix any of my problems yet!!!!!.
4/3/00 YES!! my Big Day "DSL CIRCUIT DELIVERY" , I got up and do some BKL etc.. then started to waiting from about 7:30AM, and I waited and waited and waited, waited, at this time it was about 2:00 PM Now so I called my Account Rep. "R. Hipolito 800-375-7733 ext: 290" and I ask him to verify my address, because I only have 3 hours to go and still No one had showed up yet!! He then take my Home number down and say he will have "Mia Burgos, Zyan DSL Scheduling Team" Call me back. So as I was waiting, I called "Bell Atlantic" (local telephone company) and got Ms. Camble 516-222-0187, I ask her if there was any type of order scheduled for my address, after 35min trying to find any type of order from different dep. systems at "Bell Atlantic" she found NONE!!!
So I called my Account Rep. "R. Hipolito" again, this time I did not get him, about 15min later I got a call from "Mia Burgos, Zyan DSL Scheduling Team" and I ask her, was there an order placed for my DSL line with NorthPoint or not? she reply yes there is, then she say "let me check with NorthPoint on-line system to get your status", 5min later she say that my order was canceled because there was NO free circuit at NorthPoint Dmux/xDSL unit in Ossining, and she will place a new order on "April 14 2000" and hope they get free circuits by then.
So I was not too happy, and no one seems to know why I was not inform about the canceled delivery date, any way I am not out yet, because if I try to cancel my order I will have to pay $300 ...
