Network and coverage is great and the cost value goes way beyond the competitors. Things seem great until you have to contact costumer service for something. Finding a support agent that is able to help is about a 1 in 5 shot. Finding a authorized Tmobile dealer store that offers you fair deals on new phones and is helpful is a 1 in 10 shot. They are freaking everywhere!! And 90% of them are ran by morons. One example is 10 months ago I wanted a new Dash and my wife wanted a Shadow so I priced them out at all 4 kiosks at the mall. The price went from $210 to $300 with a contract! I found a store in our neighborhood willing to honor the official web site prices of $50 for a the Dash and $100 for the shadow. They were out of stock of everything so they said they could have it in by the next day. So next day passed without hearing from them so I called and they forgot to put in the order and needed a extra day. I gave them a extra day and walked in the store 2 days later and they told me some BS saying they were not producing those phones anymore and needed a week or two to track some down. So I said forget it. Drove down to the next closest store and they said "O ya we've got 5 of those sitting in back". Looking around the store they had all the phone prices marked the exact same as the online prices which was nice because I didn't have to haggle with them. Walked out with our new phones 10 minutes later. Great store. Too bad it closed up 4 months ago.

    hello

don't deal with a third party t-mobile reseller, deal with a t-mobile retail store. you won't get any trouble from the retail store. if you do, call corporate, write corporate, etc. as for not getting "good" prices on a cell phone you get what is listed. t-mobile(retail stores) typically will price match. i got 2 t-mobile g1's for $99(each) from a retail store and they didn't even flinch to give me the price. Its from the Amazon.com sale(now its $49.99).

biggest suggestion i have, price shop around online, and stay away from resellers. resellers have a harder time making a profit than retail stores.

    Re: hello

Most of the stores I went to says "Authorized T-Mobile Retailer" or something like that. Are those retail stores?

    Re: hello

nope. easiest way to tell is to ask for a business card. look at it. usually all the employees will have a t-mobile.com email address on there as well i'm sure there is an easier way of telling. i'm in the suburban chicago area so its very easy to spot a fake here. the t-mobile stores here typically have a very polished, corporate feel to them while the 3rd party resellers don't have any of that.

    Re: hello

Thanks. That's a great idea. Also explains the quality of service from one store to the next. T-Mobile should really get that under control. A while back I walked into a store to inquire about putting my wife on my account right after we got married. 2 employees were playing Warcraft and one was karate chopping Styrofoam packaging. None of the employees there could have been over 17. One of them walked over and I asked how do I put her on my account. He then picked up a phone and pushed a speed dial button and said "Here. It's easier if you talk to them.". Then he went back to his game and I was left on hold with customer support.

all of the major wireless carriers have this problem with their resellers. you won't see hardly any customer service being offered at a reseller but retail stores usually are a lot better.

all i can say is wow. no way was that a retail store. the People that work at a retail store are well paid and trained. plus they have the fear of corporate stopping by anytime to check on things. no way would they be playing games at a retail store. I don't even work for T-Mobile and i'm ashamed.

it just occurred to me. you should check out t-mobile's website for a listing of all the closeby retail locations
