Well I signed up for T-Mobile with the G2 3.75G HSPA 14.4 phone expecting the worst. The coverage around Birmingham is pretty decent I will say. Speed's can vary greatly though but I saw an average of 4.5-6mbps consistently.
Rural coverage is not good at all, 3G is very limited in nature but where it is, well it works great.
I have been able to hit 8-9mbps easily with good signal also.
If your in a T-Mobile HSPA+ coverage area I would recommend it.
