I have had my webConnect service since last September, i opted to buy the "Rocket" instead of taking the cheap free one, and i do not regret it one bit.

i get a consistent ~10-13Mbps down/~2-3Mbps upload and my latency is always under 80ms..

If you are thinking about this, just go get it and buy a "Rocket" series USB dongle and you will not regret it.

This is what i'm getting right now, and it's running better than my Cable internet from Cox communications:

10-13Mbps down?

How can you get speeds that high when it only connects at 7.2Mb using HSPA+ and the actual speed has to be lower than that by about half? When I tried it here I got 3 Mb down/1.2Mb up which I though was pretty good, faster than anything else I can get. The prepaid plan with only 1Gb/mo for $50 is insanely expensive unless you sign a 2 yr. contract to get the $40/mo plan. That's not a good value at all though when you consider that bits don't cost them anything. And since the $40/mo plan only gives you 5Gb/mo that is just enough to watch one movie. I presently use about 11Gb/mo on wi-fi just checking email and browsing the web.

Re: 10-13Mbps down?

The HSPA+ is 21Mbps, 7.2Mbps is regular HSPA. Also, they do offer a 10GB plan for $20 more a month for heavy users

i do just fine on 5gb, i download 1-2 movies from iTunes, my regular music downloads, and my normal couple of hours of web surfing a day along with the stuff for my class and i've only ever hit my cap once, and when i did my speed was throttled to ~200kbps - it was fine for web browsing but if i did a download it sucked but when i hit my cap there was only 1 day left in my cycle so it was not too bad

I'm in Ohio today and pulling over about 7-9Mbps

Re: 10-13Mbps down?

I guess you're right. You must have what they are calling 4G now. I didn't know they had that in Phoenix yet. The 3G unit I got in December just uses HSPA at 7.2Mbps but that would be fine if I could afford it. Besides the 5Gb plan costing $49 that requires a 2 yr. contract all I can find are the 1Gb plan for $50/mo and what they call the "unlimited day pass" that costs $1.49/day but only gives you 30Mb that would be $46.14/mo for just 930Mb. Where did you see a 10GB plan for $20 more a month? I can't find anything like that but the web site changes every week. Can you point me to it?

it's 84.99 - 20% for being a customer, so effectively $68, so really $28 more for double the data.

Re: 10-13Mbps down?

That link doesn't do anything, their web site seems to be down.
Did you get some kind of a discount? That wouldn't be too bad if the price was more reasonable than $85, except for the 2 yr. contract.

Re: 10-13Mbps down?

Link works just fine on my Mac and PC, one is through Road Runner (PC) and my Mac is going through my webstick.

you get a 20% discount when you have a voice line with T-Mobile that will automatically apply to the total on the bill

Re: 10-13Mbps down?

The link is finally working today but there's nothing on there about any 20% discount so it's just a straight $84.99. It will probably change again next week though.

Re: 10-13Mbps down?

It's not mentioned on the site, but when you have a voice line with T-Mobile, you get 20% off

So it's a secret and you get it by magic then?

Re: 10-13Mbps down?

No, the 20% discount is for anyone. if you have a voice line (cell phone) and a webstick you get the discount. call em up and ask, they'll tell you the same thing
