I finally bit the bullet and bought a new card. I got an S720 off of eBay.
My speeds with my old Sierra 580 were 800/135. Latency was in the 130ms range. With my new card, I am receiving 1300/ 800, with latency in the 80ms range. This is a huge improvement.
I am still very happy with the service.

My choices were dialup, satellite, or this. Sprint Mobile Broadband has been great. I got the service back in February of 06 and was happy with the speed increase 1xrtt gave me over dialup. Then my area was upgraded to EV-DO in October, and just this week to Rev A. Way to go Sprint!
The connection is rock solid. The only times the connection has ever gone down was during the two times my tower was being upgraded. Can't ask for anymore than that.
