I have had Sprint EDVO for about 4 days now, and coming from the disappointment of satellite, it is more than I could have hoped for. Great speed 1200kbps down, 300+ up. I have the unlimited data plan for 59.00 a month. I'm not a big time down loader, but 5 to 12 gigs a month is my norm for my family. So I checked with Sprint before signing up a they said it wouldn't be a problem, so if everything is correct than, I will be a big Sprint Fan and customer for along time to come.

Update 11/11/07 Sprint EDVO Rev A, is great. For an area that has no other options, other than dial-up or Satellite. No matter what the weather or time of day, our service has just plain worked. In a recent hospital stay for my 2 year old daughter, we were able to video chat from the hospital to home, so my daughter could see mom before going to sleep for the night. Although cost per month is a little high, (about the same as Satellite) they are worlds apart is service. I will remain a Sprint customer, and would recommend them to anyone.

    I agree

I, like you, had satellite before finding sprint. I feel the same way about the difference in services. I hope that EVDO coverage will increase and give satellite a run for their money because they (satellite) change way too much for the speeds and high latency.
