I have been on satellite for quite some time, (12 years) Direcpc, Direcway, Hugesnet, and Wildblue. There ok but you can't take them anywhere or move to another room without a hassle. With the Sprint Mobile Broadband I can move from room to room or take it on the road. Its only been about 2 weeks and so far the only thing I had to do was order an external antenna. My speeds aren't what they were with satellite but the other benifits and the price @ $20.00 a month out-weighs it. More after I get the antenna in and installed. Dave
"UPDATE 9-23-08" I have had it with SPRINT and there lack of service. I have been going through this for about 3 months and have had it. I can't even watch news clips from my local station. I have been on the phone with these guys for a total of 7 1/2 hours. I even got a new modem with the same results. I have changed everything on my system RWIN ect. with the same old crap. I asked them at tier 2 about the tower and I gave them the site ID#. I am going to cancel my service with the reason that it Not As Advertised! This is about 1/4 of what I got when I signed on with them. This is EVDO too....
Looks like I am going back to Wildblue unless they do something pretty dam quick. At this moment I am ready to run over this dam modem With either the tractor or the horse and have him crap on it then send it back. Am I bad or what? Dave -- ® D A V E ®
