First I considered Verizon's mobile broadband but their deceptive advertising regarding "unlimited" really turned me off and I decided that they weren't going to get my mobile broadband business. Thus, I did some research of the other major providers and discovered that Sprint had a true unlimited plan that was competitively priced, with coverage in most of the locations to which I travel. I didn't really want yet another $60 a month bill but I needed a more unrestricted access to the Internet when using my laptop and this was the perfect way to do it. It has really come in handy at airports, friends houses, and even while riding in a taxi!
Package with data access card was delivered in less than 5 days from my order and installation of the card and software was uneventful and smooth. Within minutes I was up and running.
In the three months I have had this service I have not had any reason to contact tech support yet so for the time being I will leave it at a neutral 3.
Coincidentally the signal strength at both my home and my current customer's location is a paltry one-to-three bars so as a result I am unable to enjoy the fastest connection speeds possible. At one point when my signal strength dropped to no bars my upload speed was worse than the slowest dial-up. However, this is really a function of my location rather than the service so no penalty for this problem. Once connected, I have never lost a connection and so far, the service has never had any downtime (knock wood).
Very happy so far.
