Okay, I use it every day from Brunswick, MD to DC Union Station. My company allows me to count my commute time on the Marc Train. I will say it gives me a good 1 hour of work time out of the 1.5 hours I'm on the train. Its probably 80% EVDO (high speed) and 20% 1xRTT (little better than dialup).
I used to use it at home. Where I only get 1xRTT but 150kbps download and 50-70kbps upload. I'm only 2 miles from an EVDO tower, but the hills/trees etc just prevent me from getting a good connection :-( Maybe sprint will expand but I doubt it, they already cover the I-81 corridor and I doubt they will budge from there.
Now I have have Starband at home that gives me ~1200kbps down and only 18-36kbps up. I may just still use the cell card for uploads. I'm going to work with Starband to see if I can get a little better improvement on upload.

My company is paying for the card now, so thats why I broke down and got starband too. | |
