This is the best bang and very worthwhile to check into if there are no alternatives other than satellite for broadband. I have lived with satellite internet for the past 6+yrs and this blows the doors off even Wildblue's pro package.

The internet speeds off the tower by my home averages about 1300kb/s download and upload is around 400kb/s inside the house with no external antenna and a ping around 120-140 which was close to my highest speed with Wildblue's pro pack. I thought it might be a little faster than satellite but I didn't expect it to be near as much of a blowout.

One huge plus is the wireless service is not affected near as bad by weather, I played Unreal tournament in the middle of a downpour for giggles, even though I rarely game it was nice to be able to do it for once and even better... to be on the net in a torrential downpour much less play a ping and bandwidth intensive game.

Last but not least NO FAIR ACCESS POLICY!!! It does not matter how much you use the net it won't get slowed or shut down EVER!!

If you are curious about it go into a Sprint store and check it out.. I am not a Sprint fan by any means... but where I am and no matter how many speed tests and file downloads I do to test it looking for it to fall on its face.... it just won't. I can't stand Sprint but they have done something right with this.

But what Sprint is doing with the 5GB cap really sucks.

    Re: FAP Sucks

You are right it does suck bigtime. I have talked to Sprint a few times about it and all say there is no such thing, unlimited is unlimited for me. My bill states that they can degrade the service over 5gb or shut it down so who knows. I get a discount through my work so my account is different than some others. I am sure I will get fap'ed sooner or later if I keep it. I guess I could go back to Wildblue UGH that would suck real bad! Do you have Sprint?

Yep, but I'll be canceling as soon as they notify me of the new TOS. $12.50 per GB is a "way out of bounds" price, even if it does offer mobile connectivity. With Netstumbler I can find plenty of free hot-spots when I travel.
