After over two years of being a Broadband customer, I'll be terminating my contract this month. I cannot justify the cost with the limitations Sprint is placing on it's customers by joining the CAP crowd (Verizon & AT&T). Speeds have been very inconsistent, and latency varies wildly from 100's to spikes of 1,000+. Making it unusable for many applications, like gaming and VOIP.

Internet use should not require you check your usage before downloading operating system patches, iTunes, YouTube video's, etc. Metered internet usage is so 1990's thinking, just like Sprint management.

They will take all the consumer will put up with.

I came from Satellite, to Sprint EVDO and have been very happy for over a year. But like you I find 60.00 bucks a month, to much for only 5 Gigs. Unfortunately the new way to do business in the U.S. is to take the customer for all they will stand for. Change the contract, raise the price what ever the market will stand.
When its all said an done, more people will agree with the new terms, rather than drop the service. Sprint is counting on this, it means more profit for less service. It's really to bad more people just don't say no. We are on a downward spiral with services in this country, and at some point the price will be to great for the average person. Then will we see a change in this trend.

    Can't agree with you anymore.

I'm dropping the Sprint Broadband Access this month. I've found a local wifi provider that will give me similar data rates for a little more $$, but with low latency/QOS so I can actually do things like VOIP, Citrix, games, etc. I'll be dropping my EXPENSIVE EmBarq phone line too, so I'll come out $$'s ahead in the end.
