So I signed up for this Sprint Mobile Broadband card in early June, not really knowing anything about Sprint. But I managed to get in on the SERO plan for $50/month unlimited.
I needed this at work because..well, long story, but they no longer want my laptop on the network here. And no, I did nothing wrong, they are just tightening things up to prevent future problems.
Unfortunately, I am pretty much in a fringe area here at work, never achieving more than about a 10-20% signal strength. So base my comments on that fact.
My speeds are generally about 1 Mb down and 200 kb up. Pathetic compared to my 15/2 speeds at home, and my previous symmetrical 20 Mb here at work, but sufficient for most of what I need it for.
The problem is the signal is all over the place and several times a day I drop out of EVDO back to 1xRTT. Like 56k dialup!!
Customer service is useless and clueless, just like everyone else says about them. So I won't touch on that too much. Suffice it to say that I am pretty self-sufficient with technology, thankfully in this case.
Overall, beggars can't be choosers and I am stuck with them for now due to location.
