Ok.. here's my update: Things are pretty much the same.. Very Good.. SBC or AT&T as it's known now has 3 different speed packages. I went for the best there Elite service. 6000/ 758 or something like that. My real time speeds have been around 5031 download. And 638 up. The package cost me 44.95 but i get a $21 credit towards this for signing up for a year. My time will be coming to a close soon. So it will be interesting to see what they offer me.
I think were pretty lucky living in an area with competition .. some friends I know have phone companies who own or control there whole area. So there stuck paying more then we do. For much slower speeds.
I also have there Dish TV service which i like much better then Adelphia cable. When i first got it i could not believe the difference in the sound and picture.
