I had been waiting for any reasonably priced provider to serve my phone exchange. I received a advertisement in the mail on March 22, 200 from Telocity. I signed up that day via the Web. The Ad promised no install charge, free modem, no contract, 10 meg web space, 3 email accounts, static IP Address, remote access, plug & play, $49.95/month.
I was up and running by April 7 !
I had to make two phone calls, once after BellSouth stopped by and told me DSL was running, I had to call the next day to find out about the modem. It was shipped that day and received the next. The second call was to tech service because the install instructions didn't include how to connect to a network. I was on hold at least 10 mins. each time and cut off ton he second call. I had already had the answer to my question, no recall necessary.
I can't be more happy about having DSL and Telocity. The fast turn around time and ease of install meet all my exceptions. However, I still can figure out how to set up the two additional email accounts. Telocity's Web pages could be much more helpful which would have saved a call.
