I do not know much about computers, but I'm so happy I got Telocity. Well,
my son got it for me on my birthday because I am an online auction freak.
The speed is just amazing compared to what I used to have. My son ordered
Telocity mid-January and the installation took place mid-February. But
there was one problem, my son the computer "expert" left town two days
before the install. He told me what to say and what to do, but he forgot
I'm totally computer-illiterate. There wasn't too much for me to do though,
because the install guy walked me through connecting the modem (thank God!).
Than he instructed me to call Telocity for further instruction. I must
have sounded so dumb to them because I know very little about computers but
their customer service people hung in there with me...I'm probably one of
the reasons why all you other Telocity people were on hold for hours...lol!
Sorry guys and girls. But the 45 minute conversation with customer service
was all it took to get me online. They told me what to do IN PLAIN ENGLISH.
Now my internet is so fast and Telocity reps continue to be very courteous
to me on the phone. I'm sure they laughed about me afterwards, but it's
okay since they helped me connect to the internet with such unimaginable
speed. It was sure a learning experience for me but the big payoff comes
whenever I beat another bidder at online auctions because he or she has a
slower internet line. Thanks to Telocity and to Scot!!
