    Texas Air Net had shaped up nicely but seems to have sold out to another company called Leading Edge or LEC. Since then the network has been completely switched around (causing them to have to make a visit to every ones house to make changes to their modem) and they now have "security" in place.

    Most of the info I have now I got after trying to a week to get someone on the line that actually knew anything about networking beyond configuring a computer to connect to their provider.

    Security meaning you are behind a NAT, so if you already have a router in place be aware that you need to take steps because you are now double NATed. They also opening admit to prioritizing network traffic of different types.

    When I asked if thats why World of Warcraft patches so slowly he didn't even seem to realize that something other then file downloads might be using the protocol and eventually admitted that yet it might interfere with that also.

    If you want really basic Internet they might be okay, but chances are if you're smart enough to be on this forum looking at info you are NOT gonna like what you find.
