Pre sales of vendors sucks they are/seem clueless. cant buy the modem from these places but you are nicely forced into 2 year contract.

setting up was quick and easy enough, one thing tho before you do any surfing you are redirected to the clear site and your account to verify credit card info and must complete this process before you can get online

Update 4-17-2011

Well it now seems clear has implemented a perment speed cap on all traffic leaving the local area, before i could get advertised speeds to any site, i now avg 1.2 to sites outside local area if i am lucky, tech support is utterly USELESS

Re: k

i stated that and i have been "capped" to .5 down/1.0 up
and im unfortunate to be on the tower that is next to the att center

And frankly i dont care about the "throttling" as long as the service works im happy. can not say that for ATT or TWC

crap service

@50.15.180.x

Grateful for crappy service

You are paying for 3 to 6 Mbps downloads, and only getting 0.50 Mbps. Clear commits this fraud every day.

Re: Grateful for crappy service

I ordered ClearWire in August and got capped for watching NetFlix!! They would not even be honest about why my speed was low until I cancelled. Instead they wasted a few hours running me around in circles. It was not until I cancelled that they admitted to turning my speed down because I was using to much of my Unlimited 4G service..??..what a fraud!!

started fast, now throttled

We started out good. Was impressed so stayed past the trial period. But just like so many said before. Once past the 30 'return' policy, my speeds went down from near 10mbps to 0.8mbps and staying there. I can't use this for movies etc after all. Don't fall for these frauds. They're almost bankrupt any way. Now I have to have that stupid fight over the cancellation fee.
