"Reliability - always online; consistent speed throughput; friendly staff"
"Could offer modem-router combo; price a bit high for just a dial up buster"

Although I had originally regular DSL, my subscription is for PhonelessDSL - i really enjoy this freedom from Telco.
Contract - on a month-to-month basis, with a $ 26.95/month rate for 384/128 Kbps (no taxes), and dynamic IP. The $ 70 activation fee goes to Verizon...
From order to live: 7-10 days. (Telco needed to come and install separate Data line, or a "loop" as they referred to).
Easy signup; no hidden costs or charges.
The monthly bill can be deducted electronically from bank account.
Address Line pre-qualifying is performed, but it is done within minutes either by calling, stopping by their office, or submitting the online form.
The setup is extremely easy for the end user, although in-home installation support is provided to non-tech savvy individuals by a technician for $ 75/hr.
The modem kit is complimentary (they use ZOOM brand - ADSL X 3 model), and is very reliable. Connection is always up (as it should), unless there's some weather-related mishap. In such cases the connection was back up and running within hours after they located the trouble spot.
Logonix is a very reliable local ISP, which I highly recommend. The pricing could fall below 20 dollars, but that's just a personal opinion.
To sum up the ratings as observed on the BBR Reviews forum:
- Pre-sales info: 100% - no hidden issues
- Install Co-Ordination - 90% - had only minor issues related to Microsoft Outlook mail program, which figured out on my own. I couldn't receive mail because of the new smtp/pop3 configuration. Nobody conveyed to me that the settings need to be changed in Outlook, at the time they had no proper documentation on the website. Since then, they added a "Setup Your Email Software" tab on the home page, which makes things smoother.
- Connection Reliability: 95 %. In 8 months the connection was down only 2 times due to weather -related broken towers. The connection was restored within 12 hours each time.
- Tech Support: 90 %. While researching for VOIP, I asked them if they have modem-router combo to offer, or the what's the probability of using my own device if I would buy one. They said they used in the past such combo, but was creating IP conflicts, so probably I should stick to the present provided modem. Hence, I don't think they are a "next level" provider in terms of tech support, willing to take the next or extra step to work out all the issues with the customer or to enhance their service, for that matter.
- Services: 90% . I am pleased with the service, but just like "employee" evaluations, it is always room for improvement. Nobody is perfect..
-Value for Money: 80% . I think that when most ISP providers offer anymore "standard" 768/128 Kbps connections for around 20-25 dollars/month, the $ 26.95 price for just a "dialbuster" is a bit overinflated. But that's just my opinion.
DSL/ADSL connection is just like a woman...a "necessary evil". Either live with with or stay away if you cannot manage. Unless you can cope with dial up snail like speed, you have to pay to browse faster...
I would include this in the ISP "positive" reviews.

UPDATE - 3/18:
1 year later the service is solid and the uptime 99.9%. The price didn't move a micron, so the $ 26.95/month for just a dial-up buster remains the sole drawback.
The jump to the next tier of speed (768/128) is utterly insane: $ 43.95!, while for a 1.5 MB/384Kb goes to $ 48.95
