I started with Dish Network in November of 1997. I've never been unhappy with that decision.
I had always done a self install until 02/2007 when I upgraded to their HD service which required a different dish antenna. The installer came on time, quickly installed the new equipment, moved my 52" TV to connect the new HD DVR and made sure it all worked properly.
The VIP622 receiver is awesome. I can record three channels while playing back 2 programs at the same time. The UHF remote capabilities of most Dish receivers is a big selling point for me, since I can control my dish boxes from different rooms. I have all my boxes wired so I can watch any one of them on any of my TV's in the house.
We have two cable TV providers in town, and I've checked out both of their offers and for me, Dish provides the best value.
I'm very happy with the new $10 HD Package.
