I initially had a lot of problems getting it made available to me, due to an error in their system making it look like my house was further from the V-RAD than it actually was. They had it in the system as 2,802'. It is actually less than 2,300'. This took a lot of time, a lot of phone calls, & a lot of headaches to iron out. But, it was well worth the effort! I am saving $53 per month by having U-Verse. Before, I was paying out a total of $120 (amount updated on 2/6/08, with the pending DirecTV price hike, & the recent increase from Metro, we would have been paying $126 soon) per month for DirecTV, basic cable, & AT&T DSL. I am now paying $74 for the same amount of channels, plus my high speed internet! The internet will drop the connection once in a great while if you use a wireless connection, but it will usually re-connect in less than a minute.
My advice, if you can get U-Verse, get it! You'll be glad you did!
UPDATE - 1/14/08: U-Verse took away a few channels today with no warning whatsoever. Apparently, we were not supposed to be getting the New York locals. The people in this area were receiving them in error. If they had to take them off, fine, but they gave NO advanced warning. We received a card today in the mail advising us of this, which is the same day that they pulled the plug. If there is anyone from AT&T reading this, it would be nice if in the future, you could give a little more advanced warning prior to doing channel changes. Thank you.
UPDATE - 2/5/08: U-Verse did an software update a week ago, which means that the guide goes a lot faster than it used to! Also, the channel changes seem to happen a lot quicker, now. Good job, U-Verse! Keep up the good work! Also, please don't forget about rolling out to the rest of Waterford, because I know of more people in town who would like the service, but it is not available to them yet.
UPDATE - 2/6/08: I did an update to the amount of money I am saving by having U-Verse. DirecTV is hiking their rates $3, and Metro just hiked their limited basic service $3.
