AT&T just came to Columbus, OH a few months ago. I was surprised the installers seemed to know what they were doing since since I had a first week of rollout install. Install had a few issues, since my neighborhood box wasn't even active for U-Verse. The installer did manage to get me all setup within about 8 hours (probably 2 or 3 steady hours) over the course of one day.
I didn't want TV service, so I canceled that almost immediately. Its odd they require you to bundle from signup, but will let you cancel just TV.
I recently upgraded to the 10/1.5 service and love the speed. My VOIP and gaming has been excellent.
