Got Uverse in Dec. 07 after 2 years with Dish. Started with U400 for free month, then dropped to U200, with Pro DSL (3 down/1 up). Consistently get 2900k down/900k upload speeds. Have 4 TV's and set-top boxes, no HDTV's, occasionally run into the limit of 4 streams when recording shows. All TV's hooked up with CAT 5, though I also tried RG6 coax and that worked well, also.
I get more channels than Dish for the same price with a better picture. I use VOIP for phone service, and I dropped my landline, so that saves me about $15 per month. My $92 monthly bill includes $59 for U200, $30 for DSL Pro, -$10 bundle discount, $5 4th receiver fee, $4.81 taxes, and a $3.10 Texas Video Franchise Fee (this is in Friendswood, TX, I understand that this fee is not charged in Houston).
Great reliability, only down for a few minutes a couple of times in four months. DVR works great, channel changes are fast, and Flickr photos on TV are also a bonus. Looking forward to whole-house DVR this year. A little concerned about new subscribers not getting bundle discount or free set-top boxes, but so far that doesn't apply to existing customers.
