"Better than Att DSL or Comcast HSI"

I previously had ATT DSL and Comcast HSI. When U-verse became available, I made the move to U-verse. I am on the 18/1.5 tier(top tier) and routinely get 17.4-17.6mb on the downloads and 1.3-1.4 on the uploads. The service has been up since I got it in and I consider it to be extremely reliable.
The installation was a little hectic. I was one of the first in Nashville to order it and I would have been one of the first non-ATT employees to have it, but on the install date, everything went fine until they got to the NID on my condo building. They had very good signal up to the pole that had the line to my building. I am 1362' from the DSLAM. They worked at fixing it for an entire day without success and on the second day after about 3' working on my line, the installer came in and told me they had found the trouble, a NES transformer was causing interference with the signal and they had notified NES(the power company) about it. They restored my DSL service and told me they would be back when NES had corrected the problem. It took 2 weeks and almost daily phone calls from me to NES to finally get it fixed. As soon as NES did their thing, the installer returned the next day and I was up and running in about 2'. The downloads are consistent from the time you start until you finish unlike the Comcast HSI , which would start fast and drop after about 25mb to speeds close to dial-up speeds. This was due to Powerboost. It(Powerboost) is great for small downloads but aggravating for larger files. I am a MS Technet member and download 3+gb files several times a week. I once had 2 identical computers downloading the same file during the WinXP beta period and the ATT SE DSL always finished in about 9-10" ahead of the Comcast HSI connection. I kept the Comcast HSI for about 2 weeks after U-verse was installed and the time differential on downloading the Win7 betas was more one-sided in favor of U-verse than when I was comparing Comcast HSI against ATT DSL.
Overall I am extremely pleased with U-verse Internet and I also switched my TV service to U-verse TV. The TV signal quality is always very good and the channel selection is better than Comcast's service.
They supplied a 2Wire model 3800HGV-B wireless gateway and it has worked flawlessly since installed.
I would recommend U-verse to anyone considering it vs Comcast. It is rock solid performance with no problems to report.
My last speed test:
Download Speed: 17283 kbps (2160.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1463 kbps (182.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
This was from Nashville to Atlanta by Speakeasy.
