First, I do not have ATT. I was helping a friend set up his ATT email after an HDD crash. I made the mistake of calling ATT to get the server names and port numbers. Big mistake! After being transferred several times and waiting on hold for 30 min, I was told that they only support web email and I had to pay (monthly!) for this information (which they would not support!) They argued for 15 minutes when it literally would have taken them about 10 seconds to simple tell me the info. We even threatened to cancel the Uverse account...they still would not tell us. What's worse is that the information is freely available on their own website:

The tech would also not provide his name even though we asked several times. How can they stay in business with customer support like this?

I don't know why anyone would bother with ATT. I am very glad I am a Sonic.net user.
