U verse is a great up and coming service. It uses a new fiber line instaed of a copper rg59 line similar to Fios. Call quality is very good never any major problems. The internet is the only downfall for me. I wish there was more off a speed selection. I never had any issues with my internet just could have used more speed.
Important to note that in most areas this miracle fiber optics with u-verse only runs to the nearest terminal box, not your house. In our case we would benefit somewhat (maybe) since we're at the far end of DSL range. The closest fiber terminal would be closer.
I'd love to know if people are getting fiber run to their houses or if they are left to use the same wiring they had prior. No matter what the sales people say, unless they upgraded the wiring all the way to your house you're simply getting fiber optic speeds served up from the nearest terminal.
