After they promised they would be out next day and didn't show, I cancelled the service

I was excited to see Uverse come as I have been held hostage by Comcast. The communication was great, tech showed and was very nice. Worked about two hours, got a call and said he had to leave. Install was planned for 4 hours but he insisted they would be out to finish up in the morning.

Next morning I didn't hear from them, called in and they cancelled the appointment (without telling me!) and said I would have to re-schedule. I didn't see the point as I can't just take time off work and hope they show up and actually finish the job so I cancelled the service.

I have had Dish and Comcast and they performed the install as planned and both called in extra support instead of delaying the work. I was hoping for the best with Uverse, bad way to start in a new area.

Wow!

That is really bad customer service.

Thank god I didn't have that problem. The Installer I had stayed until the job was done and made sure everything worked before he left.

They did have to run some cable to the telephone box on the outside of our box, but called in another crew to do that and arrived maybe an hour or so later, while the installer was working on the outside.

Absolutely no problems here since the install.
