Ordered the 18/0.5 Mbps cable package. Speeds burst to over 24 Mbps down, and are sustained at the advertised 18 Mbps.
Ordering was easy, and the confirmation was prompt. They even emailed me quickly about a mistake I made on the order form (entering the wrong S/N from my modem).
Transfer was not seamless, but that was due to using the same modem I had used with Rogers. Rogers claims some downtime is necessary in that case, but would have been seamless if I'd been using a new modem. The downtime did happen overnight though, and was up and running by the morning.
No tech visit was required due to moving from an existing cable internet connection with Rogers. Just had to reboot the modem after Rogers flipped the switch.
For price, Rogers retention deal was slightly cheaper, but was only a 1 year deal, requiring a 1 year contract, with under 1/3 of the monthly usage cap. And Start's support has been leaps and bounds above Rogers.
Only complaint was that I didn't receive an email confirming that the transfer order had been placed with Rogers.
Fantastic service Had a bit of trouble initially but that was Rogers' fault. Thanks again Al for all your efforts. This company knows how to treat customers with respect and integrity.
