Switching from Bell - all things considered - was a breeze, price & service = amazing
Nothing so far = waiting for unlimited usage for DSL ("any day now")
They have the highest rating on here for a reason!

After 10+ years with Bell (see my other review), I finally made the switch.

I called Start to figure out the best process, which was: I cancelled my Bell service (giving them the mandatory 30 day notice). I immediately called Start and scheduled a new VDSL 50/10 installation -- they actually offered to install it a few days before my Bell line would be cut out, just for peace of mind (which I did).

I purchased the SmartRG modem from Start (so long crappy Sagemcom 'Synch No Surf' Issues, Bell!) -- they said it'd take about 5 days to arrive. It came within 3, preconfigured to "plug and play". Nice!

As promised, Bell came in the morning day of installation -- and put a new line in (since my existing line was still active). No small feat, since we've had a couple feet of snow in the past few weeks -- but the Bell tech was nice, hard working, and willing to do it right. He wired everything and left detailed description of his work to the demarc. Start's "tech" then came and did the final wiring -- rewiring from the demarc to my inside wiring (it was then that I gave the "ok" to switch my inside wiring from Bell's DSL over to Start).

It's been just over a week, and I couldn't be happier. Line is rock solid. Speed is amazingly consistent (nearly getting my 50 -- I tend to be around 44-46, and upload was always warned to be around 7 just because of the neighborhood I'm in). SmartRG router is pretty decent (although I will likely put it in bridge mode and connect to my other wireless router, since the SmartRG's wireless range isn't quite as good as my Dlink).

The team at Start has been flawlessly supportive throughout -- even doing a follow-up call after the install just to make sure everything worked out ok. I've already started singing their praises to friends -- and have one friend so far that's going through a switch from Rogers as a result. Keep on, Start! I'm thrilled to have switched -- and only wished I'd done it sooner!
