My mom have been using PLDT as my ISP provider for quite sometime since Globe totally sucks when in terms of speed issues and even smart bro( the wireless broadband connection that would get you disconnected from time to time). PLDT when in terms of speed with their dsl is great. you wont have any complaints with regard to their product. The only problem (to which i call a major problem) is when your internet connection goes down for no specific reason. You call their customer service or technical support whatever you want to call it. They don't have any idea of what's going on. they cant even do a line test to check if there's any problem! i have been in the US for 4 years and had been using Bellsouth (Before ATnT took them all) the service was great the technical support was impressive, their reps would be able to identify the problem that you have with your internet and would dispatch a tech if needed. with PLDT you wont pay a single dime for their freakin service. Their technical support is more like a telephone operator after identifying your problem they would immediately assume that its a network problem and they would escalate it to their engineers and i should be calling back say 24 to 48hrs and then after which still no news just escalate and escalate. Their tech support is bad in the sense that their reps didnt even know how to troubleshoot simple connection. PLDT has the tools already all they need is to polish some rough edges. Stop lying to the customers that you would be getting this and getting that and if you want to earn more revenue start with a simple word "customer service" who knows more and perhaps remove some rotten apples around to go with it. The company can compete with other ISP provider but it just needs some polishing.
