I've been with PLDT since 2004, it was Piltel back then locally. I have no complaints, it just works. Back then it was the only game in town aside from dial up in our area. Today we have several other services, this in my opinion for this area is the best. When I relocated to an area far from the CO, the technicians went out of their way to get me the best connection possible, including running new wires at no additional cost to me. Later after they upgrade the lines, I was able to get the full amount of bandwidth offered. They have upgraded the service three times at no additional cost. Update: Upgraded me again, no cost. member for 16.6 years, 3711 visits, last login: a few hours ago updated 9 years ago

They lock you in so you can't get out.I noticed that after our contract with them has expired and we still kept up with the bills, they started throttling our internet connection and sending us payment notices in random intervals when accessing some webpages. What also gets annoying is when is I receive calls almost every week to invite us about their new service blah blah blah.. and it's another 3-year contract. And when I ask them why I'm receiving these notices, they tell me that they have no idea and that I should call the correct dept. Hello, you tell me that I am not paying my bills and then you invite me to sign you another contract? wth

Forcing customer to pay entire contractI have a question my son has a pldt contract for two years but their service is just so annoying and we pay 3099 a month . We decided to stop and yet they will not allow us to stop their service unless we pay the entire contract. I just don't see why I need to pay in fact their service is worst than the rest. There are other net that only requires you to pay 999 a month with a good line and Internet connection. Can anyone help me how to resolve this issue as they will force us to pay the amount that we can't even afford?

Re: Forcing customer to pay entire contractUnfortunately, you signed the contract with them. The only thing that will get you out of the contract scott-free is if you will be able to prove that their service is below SLA that's on the contract. That is, if your internet is unavailable x% of the time as stipulated in the contract. Or, if you are receiving bandwidth speed lower than their assured speed. Other than that, you will be required to pay the pretermination fee.
